Nutritional Therapy

What is it?

Nutritional Therapy uses nutrition science as a basis for promoting, health, performance and wellness. It recognises the link between disease and diet and is based on the belief that there are nutritional and biochemical imbalances in the body that lead to ill health.

With more and more people visiting their GPs (who typically may not recognise the link between diet and disease) only to be told there is nothing wrong with them, the field of nutritional therapy is growing.

How can it help?

Nutritional therapists work with patients presenting issues linked to areas such as:

·         Weight

·         Fatigue

·         Vitamin / Trace element deficiencies

·         Digestive disorders

·         Blood sugar imbalances

·         Hormonal imbalances

·         Cholesterol levels

·         Blood pressure levels

·         Cardiovascular disease

Other areas that are often supported include:

·         Food allergies and intolerances

·         Deficiency disorders

·         Toxicity

·         Raw food and vegetarianism

·         Diabetes

·         Obesity

·         Sports performance

What’s special about it?

Nutritional therapy is a complimentary practice and is often used alongside other forms of medical and lifestyle intervention.

Where necessary, with careful analysis, nutritional therapists use supplements for therapeutic purposes. However, this is based on the premise that each person is unique and therefore so is their level of nutrition and subsequently their nutritional requirements. Nutritional therapy is definitely not a one size fits all approach. As we say at Nikkola Daniel Associates.. There’s no body like you!

What’s so special about us?

We currently offer:

  • Online Nutrition Assessments
  • Online Nutritional Therapy Programmes

Online Nutrition Assessment £60

Our online nutritional deficiency assessments are carried out using a robust checking system, going through each nutrient and its relevant deficiency symptoms. Nutrients covered include vitamin A, D, E, C, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, folate, biotin, vitamin K, omega 3 & 6, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, manganese, selenium, chromium and potassium.

The client completes an assessment form during the consultation and then receives a list of the top foods containing their required nutrients. They also receive a list of promoters that support absorption and bioavailability and adversaries that hinder absorption or utilisation, of the nutrients that they are lacking in.

A summary document is forwarded to each client after the assessment.

Assessments take around 1 hour to complete and can be carried out online or via telephone, to suit.

Online Nutritional Therapy Programme £45 per session

Our 4-8 week nutritional therapy programme, consists of 8 sessions and includes; health check, antioxidant assessment, nutritional deficiency assessment, diet planning, food preparation, symptom assessment and re-assessment.

Sessions can be carried out online or via telephone, to suit and can be spread over 1 – 2 months.

Clients receive a unique experience with a high level of flexibility, accessing one-on-one professional support and guidance to work towards achieving optimum health and wellness, at a time and in a way that best suits them.

We work with science-based questionnaires and advanced tools to pinpoint the unique needs of each individual and to build a personalised program that works. Smart forms may be filled up in-session with your nutritional therapist, or by you the client at home, as homework between sessions. Our online clinic enables us to deliver quality personalised programmes, that address the individual needs of each client, with one to one dedication to suit busy schedules and all levels of mobility.

You will receive written reports, online or telephone contact (meaning that you never have to worry about not being able to make it to an appointment), as well as support in taking action steps around dietary planning, food shopping and cooking, linked to your body’s specific needs and your own personal goals.

In addition to our online services, we have several locations in the central London area that we work from  including Harley Street and in some instances you may be able to arrange for us to come to you.

We know that to achieve optimum levels of health and wellness we all require different nutritional intervention, which can only be achieved by having a clear understanding of what each of our own individual and unique levels of nutrition need are. Nikkola Daniel Associates also ofers a health scanning service. This enables us to be even more accurate in our assessment of your dietary and nutritional needs, therefore raising the likely hood of you successfully achieving what it is that you hope to achieve.
